1/10/2018 0 Comments Welcoming in the New Year![]() Happy New Year to all our fabulous customers. Many of you have been witness to the changes we have made throughout the year and we hope you have enjoyed our progress. If you’ve not been to the shop in the last couple years, you should come in and see what we’ve accomplished. We get complimented all the time on the aesthetic changes we’ve made to the inside of the store, paint, new bar, comfy chairs, etc. People use words like “welcoming,” “warm,” “lovely,” and “comfortable.” We continue to make changes to help us look and work better. We’ve added lights outside so we no longer look dark and creepy with the possibility of a mugging out front. 😊 We’ve also updated our phone system, computer, printer and QuickBooks. We’re still learning it all, so please be patient with us as we learn our new technology, but it should eventually make things faster and easier for everyone. As far as events go, we are still hosting Corks & Canvas everything third Thursday and live music every second Saturday of the month. This year we also added Trivia on the last Tuesday of the month. We get a small but dedicated group in here to compete for cash and prizes. I’d love to see some new faces here to participate. We now have open mic nights. The days change from month to month, but you can always find them on our Facebook events page. Many talented local musicians have come to play for us, and there is no cover charge. Our events list continues to grow. We will be adding karaoke every Tuesday, hopefully starting in February. My cousins Nathan and Brent Jordan will be running the show those nights. And every first Thursday starting in April we’ll host a comedy open mic night for a trial period. If it works out, we’ll keep it around. Check our Facebook page often because we sometimes throw in fun and interesting events not on our normal schedule. This year we hosted pairing nights and rock painting classes for example. Don’t forget, we also offer a wine delivery service. You know, like Uber Eats but with wine. Orders just need to be in 30 minutes before we close. Reach us by phone, email, or through the website. It’s $6 or $12, depending on your delivery area. I’m in the process of updating our website as well. I thought is was time for a new look, some blogging, and our events calendar desperately needed updating. So, please pardon our progress. Slowly but surely, we continue to make changes to the look and feel of the place. We still want to update our tables and chairs, give our labels a new feel, and bring in new, unique merchandise. It’s a process for sure, but we’ll get there eventually. Thanks for being a valued Vino Aquino customer. We appreciate every one of you from wine maker to wine drinker. 2017 was great for us. We are planning on having a great 2018 also and hope you do too.
